Advanced Tracking Course E-mail

1 Week in duration.  The course is $300.00 and housing is $250.00.

Felony tracking is considered to be the most hazardous job a K-9 team can perform.  This class is designed to take the tracking team to the next level in both proficiency and tactics.

The goals of the course are to teach the K-9 how to search for and locate a track and to figure out which way it goes.  The ability to perform theses tasks is critical for success on the street.  We will teach the handler how to read signs on the track that will assist the team in being successful.  We will also teach the handler how and where to place back-up officers in order to keep all personnel as safe as possible.  We will discuss the latest court cases that pertain to tracking of all types of subjects, ranging from lost citizens to hardened criminals.  We will teach the handler what the dog is actually smelling while tracking and go over tests and their results that prove why the dog is doing what he does during a track.
