Police Service Dog HandlingA department may send its own handler and dog both having received prior training from another source through a five (5) week handler course. The officer’s dog must also pass the ACLEOTC selection process. This course includes both classroom and practical field work. Tuition and fees for Format Ii, include all instruction, use of equipment, textbooks, kenneling and board of the officer’s dog. Session schedule is as Format I.
